LGTM.

BTW, I plan to still mentor the two projects that I was already assigned
to.

Aah, with `attic' you mean moving down the page, right?  Then please
unearth my two projects, i.e., move them up again :-)

Great!
That was the idea behind moving forward in that drastic manner ;-)

Actually that would be moving down the *file*, on the website they'd end
up on a totally different page:
http://lilypond.org/attic.html#Inactive-Google-Summer-of-Code-project-suggestions

I'll move your projects back (after asking Abraham) and upload a new patch.

File Documentation/included/gsoc.itexi (right):

https://codereview.appspot.com/338320043/diff/40001/Documentation/included/gsoc.itexi#newcode192
Documentation/included/gsoc.itexi:192: \emph{variants} (alternative
readings, corrections, regularizations),
should be @emph

I believe this is what is breaking 'make'

It may or may not be the only thing but it is definitely an error that I
have fixed with a new patch set.

Sorry for the hassle, the problem is that I currently don't have a
working build environment, and I can't find the time to work on one
"only" for website work.
